Tips for 2nd September 2013

For Monday 2nd September 2013 we have U.S open tennis where prices come from Ladbrokes and PaddyPower.

First up hard not to back David Ferrer. 2/7 on Ladbrokes 1/4 on PaddyPower. Ferrer has been plugging away and grinding out results recently and his world rankings outline that fact. I can only see him being dumped out of this grand slam by someone from the top 3.

Roger Federer 1/16 Ladbrokes 1/20 PaddyPower at those odds I would avoid since Rogers shock defeat at Wimbledon this year, it has taken the shine of his mantle as a banker.

Rafa Nadal is looking good to come away with another grand slam title. He's currently 6/4 Ladbrokes 13/8 PaddyPower for the U.S open title. Nadal is 1/25 against Philipp Kohlschreiber Ladbrokes and 1/18 PaddyPower. You have to remember this 12 time grand slam winner is still only 27 but questions surround the injuries in the past over how long this power house can remain at the top of world tennis.

The 2013 Wimbledon Champion  and Defending U.S open champion Andy Murray is 7/2 with both Ladbrokes and PaddyPower. Despite not being over convincing, it is hard to rule out Murray since becoming a two time grand slam winner in the last grand slam at Wimbledon. Novak Djokovic at 7/4 is a nice price and he has yet to drop a set. The 6 time grand slam winner has been untroubled so far  in the tournament.

Todays Soccer tip from the IFA Premiership where you have to fancy Cliftonville at 4/9 with Ladbrokes as they take on Coleraine. The current league champions are leading for the 2013/2014 league season with 9 points from four games. Coleraine are placed in 8th in the league with a dismal 4 points from 4 games.

Racing today comes from Ffos Las starting with the 14.20 where it is hard to ignore Griffin Point at 11/4 Ladbrokes and 3/1 PaddyPower. Griffin Point was second at this course and distance in July and has a good chance of going one better here again.

For the racing in Hamilton  the only pick is the 15.40 Llanarmon Lad likely to go joint favourite with Mahican both 6/5 with PaddyPower in this four horse maiden stakes. I personally prefer Llanarmon Lad since he's had a consistent standard in past outings.
